Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Ingredients

  • 6 Slices Peppered Bacon cut in to bite size pieces
  • 2.5-3 lbs Brussels Sprouts trimmed and halved lengthwise
  • 1/4 C Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  • Cut bacon in to bite size pieces and spread evenly on a rimmed baking sheet. Roast for 10 minutes, stirring once or twice, until bacon is crispy and the fat is rendered.
  • Remove bacon pieces to a paper towel covered plate to drain
  • Toss halved Brussels sprouts with rendered bacon fat and maple syrup. Stir to thoroughly combine and coat everything with both fat and syrup. Sprinkle with salt.
  • Roast Brussels sprouts for 20 minutes, stirring a couple times.
  • Add the bacon pieces back to the baking sheet and toss to combine with the Brussels sprouts. Return to the oven. Roast for another 3-5 minutes until the Brussels sprouts are fork tender and golden.
